Recycling Frappuccino Bottles Part 2.

So,  you like to buy spices in bulk.  Great!  Me too!  You get more bang for your buck, and no one loves getting more bang for their buck more than me.   They are just so darn hard to get out of the bag!  So you either have to cut a little hole int he corner and close it up with a close pin praying that it doesn't leak, buy the shaker jars, save all the old plastic jars from things (I hate plastic!) or.. you might have a handy little collection of empty frappuccino jars that you got for a pittance off Craigslist from caffeine addicts...  Aha!! It was originally my husbands idea (Smart lil thing ;-) ) and then when we got home, I thought that I could probably peel part off the label off and use it to distinguish which spice was what (Since the jars are identical) .   Below is a little tutorial of the process in case anyone wants to try it themselves!

First: I put the spices in the jar and then clipped the label off the bag

The plastic is still on the label so I started peeling it from the corners and worked up the short edge peeling it in as far as I could on each side until it started to tear off the sticky stuff (Some of them came all the way off!!)

Once it is like this, I cut the plastic that was left not stuck to the label.

Line up front first (because that is what you see) and then once that side is "stuck" to the jar, run it around and stick it!

Tada!!  My next step is to paint the lids black for a classier look, but I'm in no hurry for that. =)   The neck of the bottle make is easy to pour out small quantities at a time.

My Valentine

I thought that since this was our first Valentines day as Husband and Wife, that this would be a good year to celebrate in a special way. I know in years down the road after children and such come, that we may not have the time to have romantic candlelit dinners.. but we did tonight...

Sometimes having two candle lovers in the same house is very beneficial... ;-)

Those frappuccino bottles come in handy too!

 He noticed... =) =)

 I love you, Manly!

Mmmmm...

I know its gush and sap and all that rot, but I love him... he makes me happier than I could have ever dreamed anyone would.  He loves me, thinks I'm beautiful, tells me hard things I don't want to know, holds me when I cry and I swear he gives way more than I do to everyone in life including me. He randomly brings home flowers, he eats anything I cook and says he loves it, and then cleans up the kitchen.  He folds laundry and faithfully marches off to work every single day even when he doesn't feel entirely well, and works more than a full work load most weeks. He thinks my quirky little weirdnesses are cute and never fails to encourage my creative side. He calls me his dream come true.. me!  He is tender and kind and selfless with everyone, not just me. He loves God, truly and fully and its obvious in the fruit in his life.  He inspires me and encourages me in my walk with Christ and my everyday everything.

Goodness, I love him...
