Our Little Home...

...Or as my mom calls it.. our little "Love Nest"  Is that awkward?  I think its kinda cute... Anyhow, I will preface this with saying, that there are a lot of pictures.. its like a little tour. And.. we are real people.  This is a clean version.  It doesn't always look like this. ;-)   I try, and most nights the kitchen IS clean before we go to bed, but sometimes.. it isn't. =P   All the same, I love our little cozy home here as the couple in #4 downstairs. ;-)

This is the view walking in the front door... looking in the living room down the hall =)

Our little key hanger.. =)

I love our couch and coffee table.. I love the tiles in the middle because that way.. you don't need a coaster! ;-)

For the record, that is the most comfortable chair there....

Thank you for the gorgeous blanket, Beth!!!

Looking from the dining room to the living area..

And this is moving from the living room to the dining room!  I love how the living room, dining room, and Kitchen all run in a U shape. =)

The kitchen.. "Full View Version" =).
Looking in from the dining room.

Side #2 of the kitchen.. =)

 Half #1 of the kitchen...

I love love love how the greens and yellows match.. it wasnt on purpose!  Thank you Rebekah and Stephen Benner for the tea pot!

There were a few people who felt like Mark might need a little bit of home with him.. they were right.. ;-)
Look Aunt Cathy!   The measuring spoons are being used! They are so cheery...

I love love love our pink kitchenaid... It shall be well loved and used!

My favorite part of the bathroom.. the border around the mirror.. I don't know why but I just LOVE it!

And lastly.. this.. because I think its the cutest little manger scene!

Tuesday's...

You know those days when the day seems to stretch on FOREVER and you are ready to go home by like... 1:15... ya, that was yesterday.

I got a text in the morning saying that if I came over to his (Manly's) apartment that he would make me dinner and that it might include steak.   Um.. YES!

He brought me flowers.... gosh..... AND made me a steak dinner!!    AND told me during dinner that we were going to a "secret location" so I better "not linger too long over dinner".  =D =D  ;-)

First stop!!  Oh this boy knows my heart... ;-)

We found this AMAZING phone.. still working!!! We don't have a land line... I thought we could get one so we could use this.. Manly didn't quite think so.. ;-) But it was only 9.99!!

Then we went to Goodwill.. my favorite!!  and found this which I LOVED!   We don't have room for it though and building a house to accommodate it really didn't seem that wise after I thought about it for a while.

It was the loveliest of evenings and we ended up spending upwards of $3.00 =)   I'm marrying a brilliant man... =)

Bridal Shower

A dear dear sweet friend of mine (several actually) put on a bridal shower for me at church!  The theme was "Time" and Fall.. how God makes everything beautiful in His time.   His time has been such a crucial and ever important part of Manly's and My relationship.  =)

They had people fill out advice cards and date ideas.. one for each month of the year..  I'm framing the advice cards.. they were just too priceless haha!!

Two dear gorgeous people that I'm mighty fond of... ;-)

My mama was able to make it (unexpectedly) to my shower which was amazing!!  She also got to meet a grandbaby and make it to the next grandbaby on the way's baby shower!

BT Gave the devotional.. it was exceptional!  When to keep ones mouth shut.. oh that... ;-)    Seriously,  BT is one of the wisest women I know, I was beyond delighted to have her share a little bit of that wisdom at my shower.

Yours will come soon!!! ;-)

Opening cards from so many sweet people!

The Amazing bow someone made!!

My Mama gave me this, it has been a traditional family bridal shower present for many many years, I honestly didn't even think about ME getting one.. needless to say it was one of my (and Manly's) very favorite gifts!

Lovely friends chatting.. ;-)

All but one of the Hipps girls so far!  We miss you!

Tradition.. but with a baby bump this time!  ;-)

Mmm... I love this lady SOOOOO Much!!!

Thank you to everyone who made it such a special day!  It was lovely!!

New-ish Furniture!

Manly and I went to a second hand furniture shop the other day in search of a dresser for him since he will be moving into his apartment soon to batch it for a little bit before the wedding.   I didn't have an extra one (Do girls EVER have extra clothes storage space???)  so we went looking for one.     I fell in love with this one at first sight, its so Manly and just... looked like something he would own.

The doors open to reveal three more drawers and I didn't take a picture but inside the drawers is the most charming black and brown Revolutionary war themed paper.... its a detail we both loved!

They were asking $150 for it but would take $120, which neither of us were wild about paying so.. we kept looking

We found this SUPER comfy chair which they wanted $30 for... still a little high IMHO, but not bad...

That's about when I happened across the nightstand that actually went with the dresser we liked!   They only wanted $20 for that so we decided to cut her a deal and offer $150 for all three pieces,  much to my surprise she took it!!

We went to the Thrift world next door and I saw them... 6 matching dining room chairs with the seats that you can remove with 4 easy screws and recover ANY TIME YOU LIKE!!!  All with a gorgeous back detail pattern, all for $24... wait ONLY $24 FOR ALL 6 CHAIRS?????   Yep.. that was an amazing blessing, we got them and tada, new kitchen chairs!    I am going to recover them in something blue to match the table legs =)

A'dressing Party

Several dear friends came out to help address envelopes and make wedding programs. It was a joyous evening of fun and work!  Thank you Ladies for all your help!

 I miss that face!

 Too close too close!!!

 Many hands making light work!

A little wrapping up the process process.. we are only missing like 10 addresses at this point.. you know who you are.. check your facebook messages and fess up! ;-)
