Loops

I've been making "Loop Tape" for my wedding dress because it is a lace up back and Joanns doesn't sell it any more. =(

Step one, draw a grid in pencil or tailors chalk and size the loops to all be uniform... pin a lot... ;-)

Step 2.   Sew all the loops down ..several times!

Step 3. Fold over and sew onneeee more time, then your loop tape is ready to be inserted into the dress back!

Step 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the other side =)

Little Smiley Things

This was in our church mailbox... Its so hard for me to believe sometimes!!!!

Sent to the printer's and due in a few days.   This isn't our current address, but it will be our address starting in October.  =)

This makes me happy... its not this bad any more... I've been making loop tape recently (stay tuned for a post on that!)

A little "Pick Nick"

You know those days when its just been a really long, full and exhausting week and then you realize its only Tuesday afternoon?   Ya,  That was when I decided to just cancel all the evenings plans, throw some fried chicken and stuff in a picnic basket and head off to the park with Manly for the evening.   Its amazing what delightful company, fresh air and ice cream will do for a body!  =)

I left my camera and camera card in two different places, so all you get are phone pictures =)

Now empty your mouth.... ;-)

It was a delightful evening!!  Thank you, Hunkie Punkie for the lovely time... and being so awesome... ;-)

Provision #2

Remember how I said I was going to start praying for God to provide things desired for our wedding... Here is part two:

Manly and I went to Joanns last Sunday to order Fabric for the bridesmaids dresses and flower girl.   He patiently waited FOREVER with me in line but the end result.. so worth it.  God provided Brides maids fabric, and fabric for the flower girl and ring bearer.. all of it for $84 it was 50% off and an additional 25% off at the register thanks to a coupon He provided for our use.   Thank you Father, I know its a small insignificant thing in the grand scheme of life, but still.. so grateful!

The "Acorn Gold" is for the bridesmaids dresses, the "Chocolate brown" for the sashes and perhaps shawls and the "Champagne" is for the flower girl/Junior bridesmaid, and maybe the ring bearer as well. =)

Oh and I forgot to mention.. we saved $120 off that purchase... =)

Stay tuned for more provisions!!

Pickling!!!

Someone gave me some Okra, that they grew, for me to try pickling!!

Manly is from Texas and he likes things like that so I thought I would give it a try! I also love pickled Okra so we agree on this a lot ;-)

I almost love the pickled garlic more than anything else!

Faith Like a mustard seed... that isnt much faith... hmmm....

Pre Pickling:

Post Pickling:

They Shrunk a lot!   We will be back in 6+ weeks to give a report once the pickling process is complete!  =)

A few.. hundred..pictures!

I found this amazing site called Adorama Pix where we printed our engagement photos.  Its located in New York (I think that's cool ;-) ) and they did an incredible job for almost half the price of walmart!  We got 400 wallet sized die-cut prints  for $64 -- shipped!  There were a few that were cut off center and unusable but very few and they said they would be happy to replace them.   I just need to take a picture of them and email it to them.

I spent one evening "popping" them all out, =)  That was fun.. for about the first 5 minutes.. ;-)
